Blue Route

The Blue Route departs from the Palace of Culture and Science — a 1955 Stalinist skyscraper housing theatres, cinemas and museums. Take the lift to the 30th floor viewing terrace for a panoramic view of Warsaw.

One of Europe's finest examples of industrial revitalisation. A 19th-century silver and metalworks factory transformed into a vibrant complex with restaurants, concept stores, a cinema and co-working spaces. A must on any modern Warsaw itinerary.

One of the most important and best-designed history museums in Poland. Discover the dramatic story of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, in which over 200,000 people lost their lives. Emotionally powerful, multi-sensory exhibitions for all ages.

Nearby is the Warsaw Brewery — a revitalised 19th-century brewery complex now home to restaurants, bars and event spaces. An ideal stop for a break with a locally brewed beer, right next to the Warsaw Uprising Museum.

A modern boulevard connecting the city centre to the northern districts. Nearby stands the historic Hala Koszyki — a beautifully restored early 20th-century market hall, filled with restaurants and street food. An excellent spot for a break.

Zachęta is the National Gallery of Art focused on modern and contemporary art. Across the road is the Saxon Garden — Poland's oldest public park, home to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with its changing of the guard ceremony.

The heart of historic Warsaw, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The colourful Market Square, St John's Cathedral, Royal Castle and Sigismund's Column — every stone tells a story. The entire Old Town was rebuilt from rubble after WWII.

One of Warsaw's most impressive spots. The Royal Castle — once the seat of Polish kings and a symbol of national identity. Next to it stands Sigismund's Column from 1644 — one of the oldest secular monuments in Poland.

Nearby is the Chopin Museum in Ostrogski Palace — a modern, multi-sensory museum dedicated to the life and work of Poland's greatest composer. Interactive stations allow visitors to listen to original recordings and explore Chopin's world.

Nearby is the National Museum — one of the largest in Poland with over 830,000 exhibits. Collections span Polish and European painting, ancient, medieval and contemporary art. Plan at least 2–3 hours for a visit.

An elegant square dominated by the distinctive St Alexander's Church. Nearby are embassies, luxury hotels and art galleries. One of Warsaw's most prestigious addresses — start of Ujazdowskie Avenue leading to Royal Łazienki Park.

Royal Łazienki Park is Warsaw's largest park and one of Europe's most beautiful. Its centrepiece is the Palace on the Isle — an 18th-century royal residence on an artificial island. On Sundays, free open-air Chopin concerts are held at the Chopin monument.

A striking example of Socialist Realist architecture from the 1950s. The surrounding MDM housing estate impresses with monumental colonnaded apartment buildings and 10-metre worker statues. An ideal spot for lovers of architecture and Cold War history.

The final stop on the Blue Route before returning to Warsaw Central Station. Hop off to explore the city centre on foot, or continue the loop. Surrounded by shops, restaurants and metro access.
