Red Route

One of Warsaw's most iconic landmarks — a Stalinist skyscraper built in 1955. From the viewing terrace on the 30th floor you get a panoramic view of the entire city. The building houses theatres, cinemas, museums and radio studios.

A historic square in central Warsaw, surrounded by tenement houses and modern buildings. Nearby stands the Nożyk Synagogue — the only pre-war synagogue in Warsaw that survived WWII. The square is surrounded by numerous restaurants and cafes.

The bus crosses the Vistula and enters Praga — Warsaw's historic right-bank district with a unique atmosphere and preserved pre-war architecture. Nearby is Warsaw ZOO with over 3,000 animals. Praga is also the birthplace of Warsaw's street art scene.

A ride along the Wisłostrada embankment, lined with bars and restaurants. Nearby is the Agrafka footbridge — a popular pedestrian and cycle bridge crossing the Vistula. In summer, this stretch is one of Warsaw's most vibrant areas.

Near the PGE National Stadium — the largest in Poland and one of the most modern in Europe. It hosts national team matches, UEFA events and major concerts. The Świętokrzyski Bridge offers one of Warsaw's most beautiful views of the Vistula.

The Copernicus Science Centre is one of the largest in Europe, with hundreds of interactive exhibits for all ages. Nearby is the Multimedia Fountain — open as a water attraction in summer. The stop sits on the east bank with panoramic views of the Warsaw skyline.

Nowy Świat is an elegant shopping and dining street, part of the famous Royal Route. Numerous cafes, restaurants, boutiques and galleries create a unique atmosphere. Along the street are several historic churches and townhouses rebuilt after the war.

The gateway to Warsaw's historic core. Across the road stands Hotel Bristol — one of Poland's most elegant hotels, opened in 1901. Nearby is the Presidential Palace and Piłsudski Square with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The heart of historic Warsaw, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The colourful Market Square, St John's Cathedral, Royal Castle and Sigismund's Column — every stone tells a story. The entire Old Town was rebuilt from rubble after WWII.

Krasiński Square is flanked by the majestic Supreme Court building with neon star installations, and the Krasiński Garden — one of Warsaw's oldest parks. Nearby stands the Warsaw Uprising Monument, commemorating the heroes of the 1944 uprising.

Muranów is the former Jewish quarter, literally built on the rubble of the wartime ghetto. Today a peaceful residential district, but the attentive visitor finds many places of remembrance. Worth visiting: the ghetto area and the Umschlagplatz Monument, from where Jews were deported to extermination camps.

The POLIN Museum is one of the most important and award-winning museums in Europe, dedicated to 1000 years of Polish Jewish history. Interactive exhibitions lead from the Middle Ages to modern times. Winner of the Kenneth Hudson Award — Best European Museum 2016.

This stop is near the Pawiak Prison Museum — the only museum in Poland housed in an authentic Gestapo prison. Between 1939 and 1944, approximately 100,000 political prisoners passed through Pawiak. Nearby is the Umschlagplatz Monument and traces of the ghetto uprising.

Bankowy Square is a key transit hub. Here you will find the Warsaw City Hall and the distinctive Blue Tower. Historically Warsaw's banking centre — hence the name. Nearby is the Saxon Garden with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The final stop on the Red Route before returning to Warsaw Central Station. Hop off to explore the city centre on foot, or continue the loop. Surrounded by shops, restaurants and metro access.
