The Representative Seat of the Head of State
The Presidential Palace (formerly the Koniecpolski, Radziwiłł, and Lubomirski Palace) is the largest and one of the most important palaces in Warsaw. It was here that the famous Round Table talks took place in 1989, which led to the fall of communism in Poland. Since 1994, the building has served the honorable function of the official seat of the President of the Republic of Poland.
